Technology for the Environment
Heller design team is continuously working to develop tools that save energy and that are environmentally friendly. Heller has recently developed an “ECO” Series line that was designed strictly with the environment in mind.
- ECO systems have enhanced features, like the Balanced Flow Heater Module (BFM) , that help reduce nitrogen consumption by up to 50% versus previous 30″ Heater Modules.
- LOW power reduction features, like Intelligent Exhaust, have reduced electrical consumption by up to 40%
- Future design improvements, like the Flux Catalyst Reactor, will help reduce nitrogen use while keeping the inside of the oven clean of flux.
Cost saving implementations, to help reduce nitrogen and electricity, have provided up to a $18,000 yearly savings for some of our customers!
ECO-Responsible Operations
At Heller we work to reduce emissions, minimize waste and build more environmentally friendly ovens.
Waste Reduction:
- Heller works within its organization to recycle factory and waste materials. Local recyclers are utilized to help recycle cardboard, paper, metals and…
- Recycle bins were installed to collect printer cartridges, plastics and office paper.
The implementation of these programs has resulted in an 11% increase in the volume of waste recycled in our global operations.
Heller recently moved away from Styrofoam cups, providing paper replacements as well as promoting a “Bring your own coffee cup” program.
Heller realizes that building an environmentally friendly operation starts with its employees. Raising environmental awareness globally, within it’s operations, has been a priority over the past year. To help reduce fuel consumption, Heller allows flexible work hours avoiding peak rush hour traffic.
